Ginormous Arbor

We received an order for a very large arbor and matching trellis. Our Trellises and Arbors feature some sophisticated woodworking techniques so we always appreciating the efficiency of doing multiple projects at the same time.

Sizes & color: The arbor was about 5' wide by 10' tall and the trellis was 3'x6'. The customer provided the stain, which was black. It matched a covered patio arbor they had recently built. I wasn't sure how it would turn out, but it looked great!

Lattice Work: The lattice is mortised into the frame, which means we use a special machine to cut a ½" recess, or groove, into the frame. This enables us to hide the edges of the Trellis inside of the frame, which gives it a more "finished" appearance. It's also adds strength and durability. We then screw the lattice straps together.

Epoxy: The top of both was inlayed with a purple epoxy. The customer recently moved to N. Texas from Kansas so they were K State fans!

Delivery and Installation: The customer owned a large trailer so they picked it up.
