Ginormous Trellises!

We received two orders for some very large Trellises, which was awesome! Our Trellises and Arbors feature some sophisticated woodworking techniques so we always appreciating the efficiency of doing multiple projects at the same time.

Sizes: One of the trellises was 7' wide by 8' tall and the other was over 5' wide and almost 10' tall!

Lattice Work: The lattice is mortised into the frame, which means we use a special machine to cut a ½" recess, or groove, into the frame. This enables us to hide the edges of the Trellis inside of the frame, which gives it a more "finished" appearance. It's also adds strength and durability. We then screw the lattice straps together.

Epoxy: The top of both Trellises featured a green epoxy strip - nice that both customers wanted the same color!

Delivery and Installation: Trellises this large require some help so I brought Rene along for assistance. They're not too heavy but they are unweildy! We've found that fence repair kits work great to secure our trellises to ground. They're 36' long steel units, with 18"pounded into the ground. We brought along our levels and clamps and made sure, with the customer, that they looked perfect, before we screwed the top half of the unit into the trellis.
