How our raised Beds are made
Made from 2x6 western red cedar boards, with a 2x4 cedar top cap, our beds both beautiful and durable. Most mass market raised beds fall apart in a few years. Ours should last a decade.
The bed's 2x6 cedar boards are twice as thick as most mass-market beds, which means they'll last at least twice as long. But it's not just the wood that makes our beds better. We cut lap-joints to bind the corners and use tons of screws to hold everything together. We then apply a food-grade sealer to the interior and a penetrating oil to the exterior.
Our beds are beautiful! We surface all exterior facing lumber to deliver a furniture quality appearance. We add decorative trim to the top and sides. The exterior penetrating oil is brown (or you can provide any color you wish).

Premium Features in all our planters:
All lumber: genuine western red cedar, for lasting durability
Planter: sides of the bed are 2x6, top cap is 2x4, side trim is 1x4
Surfaced and sanded: to yield an a furniture-like exterior appearance.
No middle joints: Single-length boards means there are no middle joints to fail.
Lap Jointed corners: Think "Lincoln logs", they are two-way screwed, to lock the corners together.
Screws: We only use screws, no nails, including screwing the boards atop and then filling the holes.
Trims: Top cap and side trim keeps moisture out of the boards and shades the sides, to extend your beds' life
Sealed: Beds are sealed on the inside with a food safe sealer and with a penetrating oil on the exterior. This adds years to your beds's life.
Our beds are meant to last 7-10 years. They weigh between 50 and 250 pounds. Custom sizes are available
